About Flying Eagles OC

Flying Eagles OC was developed for the youth ages 10-14 to become physically fit, learn all the aspects of distance running and be a part of a community of young runners. We expect athletes to be attentive to our coaching and give their best effort. Based in Irvine, CA.

Mission: To share the sport of long distance running to inspire young athletes to build confidence, perseverance and a love for the sport of running. To be a part of a team working towards a common goal and reaching their highest potential

Vision: To begin a positive journey to learn the sport of long distance running that will build a strong foundation for entering high school running teams. Learning the physical and mental benefits and science of long distance running and strength training.

pRACTICES WILL INCLUDE:

about coach traci

Coach Traci Maynard

Coach Traci Maynard has experience running as a competitive runner starting at Capistrano Valley High School in the mid 1980’s where she was the top female distance runner in track and cross country.

She was recruited to run at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo running for the national championship winning team. She raced competitively in triathlons in college and post college for several years. Traci has been coaching high school athletes since 2017 at local high schools in Orange County. She has 6 years experience as a head coach with successful male and female athletes that consistently qualified for the CIF championships each season and some athletes that qualified for the California State Championships.

Traci takes pride in working with each athlete to succeed at their own level with training plans to maximize their potential.
